My two favorite movie villains

When I hear the word villain the thing that comes to my mind is Ursula, Cruella De Vil, and Maleficent. I love Disney movies so that is why I immediately think of the villains in princess movies. My two favorite villains are definitely Cruella de Vil and Ursula. They are two totally different kinds of villains considering one of them is an octopus and another is a crazy dog lady with different colored hair. In the movies they are after basically the same thing but totally different things at the seam time. They both just want to be happy and have to go through nice and innocent people to get what they want. Overall I like Cruella de Vil more as a villain. Maybe it is because I like the movie more and it is humorous while still a mystery. What matters is at the end of all movies the villains learn their lesson.

Things to do in Columbus, Georgia

Columbus, Georgia has many things to do and attractions to visit. This little town is found on the banks of the Chattahoochee River across from Phenix City, Alabama. in Columbus there are a lot of different things to do. Going to the River Center of Preforming Arts to catch a show would be a great idea. I have been to the River Center a number of times and have enjoyed my visit every time. Another thing to do which is a bit adventurous would be going to the Whitewater Express. At the Whitewater express you can go rafting in the Chattahoochee River. Personally I have never been there before but everyone I talk to that has they enjoyed it. There are many different museums located in the Columbus, Georgia area. One of the most popular museums is the National Civil War Naval Museum. I have been to this museum many times and have learned something new each trip. There are many more things to do in Columbus, Georgia than what I have listed, but I felt like these were the most intriguing.

The 3 types of friends I have

I have many people I consider to be my friends. Some people might think they are all different, but after growing up with them and getting some new friends along the way my friend group is very different. I haven’t always had the same friends throughout life and especially during high school. At one point or another I got distant with some people and got closer to others. That being said the three types of friends I have probably fall under the categories of shy, athletic, and outgoing. those are very broad but still obvious categories to put people in. My friends that go to church with me are all different when it comes to their personality. Libby is very athletic, she played many sports throughout middle school and high school. Zoe is quiet, shy, and usually stays in her bubble. Kennedee and Jazmine have very outgoing personalities, and are always ready to have fun anywhere. Mackenzie is my best friend who I grew up with because our families are very close. She is a very athletic person and this is her second year cheering at Mercer University. All of my friends have different personalities but I would never want them to change.

Frank Thomas

When I first heard the name Frank Thomas I had no Idea who he was, but then I saw a picture and recognized his immediately. Frank Thomas is a well known Major League Baseball player. He was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia and was very athletic at a young age. Frank Thomas played for Auburn University football team for one semester but it did not interest him as much as baseball did. In 1990 he made his big Major League Baseball debut for the White Socks. Frank Thomas earned the nickname “Big Hurt” by his size and the way he hit the baseball. After 19 seasons with the White Socks he retired in 2010.

He continued to practice law all the way up until his death. Benning was actually on his way to the courthouse when he had a massive stroke. That day, July 10, 1875 he passed away. In 1918 the United States Army established an infantry school located in Muscogee County. The camp which later became a fort was named “Fort Benning”. Best example of kindness

It is not too often you come across someone that shows kindness all the time. In my eyes showing kindness is when an induviudal goes out of their way to help or do something for someone. During my life I have met a lot of kind people, but there is this one person who is the kindest person I have ever met. During my senior year of high school I was really focused on scholarships and doing everything I could to thrive my last year of high school. My counselor Mrs.Kite really helped me any way she could to reach all my goals. every time I would go to her office and ask a question or even just talk about life she was always there to give me a good answer. Toward the middle of the school year when most of the scholarships were due I was getting frustrated with all the stress I was put under getting all of them turned in. Mrs.Kite would go out of her way to help me get everything turned in and applied for, she was so kind and helpful through everything.

Historical flyers

African-American pilots have changed the flying community. One female pilot in particular was very memorable, her name is Bessie Coleman. She was the first African-American and Native-American female pilot. There was so institute that would teach women to fly in America, so she had to go to France to get her license. So in 1921 Bessie went to France to get her license. Bessie was very popular when she came back to America. Her first career was as an airshow pilot. Five years later she died during a test flight. Bessie did not accomplish her dream of starting up an all African-American flight school. Another memorable flyer was Eugene Bullard. He was actually born in Columbus, Georgia. Eugene was the first military African-American pilot. He received his pilot license in 1917. Eugene Bullard participated in more than 20 combat missions, after that he became a nightclub owner in France. Later in life he settled down in Harlem, New York. After many odd jobs, Eugene passed away of stomach cancer in 1961.

Rant blog

Something that really gets on my nerves is that at some eating places the healthy food costs more than the food that is bad for you. Like I am trying to be healthy and get skinny but I can’t do that when its expensive. I believe that’s why lots of people are obese because they don’t want to pay for the healthy foods. I am pretty sure it takes less time to throw a salad together than to fry up a whole chicken sandwich and fries. sometimes when I am really trying to stick to my diet I will buy the healthy foods, but I am a broke college student so I’m struggling sometimes LOL. If healthy food was cheaper I’m sure lots of people would be skinnier because healthy food actually tastes good but its just the price.

What brought me to CVCC

There were a lot of things that made me decide to come to CVCC. One of the main reasons I came to CVCC was because it was close to home. I am a home body so I wanted to go somewhere near home. Another reason I chose to come is because of the scholarships they give out. I was able to get awarded an Ambassador scholarship which pays for everything besides books and the extras. A free ride to college is a pretty good reason to go to a school. I enjoy coming to CVCC and all the fun opportunities and activities they have throughout the semester. I plan on hopefully getting into the nursing program at CV, and if all goes well I will become a registered nurse.
